The SPE Saudi Arabia Section (SPE SAS) recently completed an out-of-Kingdom trip to Cairo, Egypt. The trip, organized by the Trips and Social Activities Committee saw a total of 50 members and their families come together for this five-day trip from February 10-14. Travelers enjoyed a variety of activities in Cairo. Here are a few highlights:
The Egyptian Museum – Those who had seen pictures before on television found the museum as they expected; dark, somewhat haphazard, and full of charm. This museum features some of the most incredible treasures of the ancient Egyptian world.
Pyramids and Giza - The Egyptians have established excellent vantage points for photography of these ancient structures. The Giza Pyramids are an awe-inspiring sight and truly an amazing wonder of the world. They are enormous and have a mystical feeling, which makes observing the pyramids a humbling experience. Although the no one tires of looking at the pyramids, many participants took the opportunity to enjoy a ride on a camel or horse during their time at Giza. |
